While Doug Ford hoards billions, he tells the lowest paid education workers the cupboard is bare.
Now he’s willing to trample their rights with legislation rather than raise the wages of the people who support students and schools every day.
Ontario deserves better. #onpoli
This strike action is the fault of this government and it is obvious they never had any intention of negotiating a fair deal. And every intention of tearing down our world class public education system.
As you hear about CUPE strike action, never forget that @Sflecce took $465 million out of the education budget to pay parents, when $235 million would have avoided a strike.

Women's rights are human rights and human rights are women's rights.
An extreme wing of the Supreme Court may seek to deny that fundamental truth.
They may try to force their views on a country where 70% of people want Roe upheld.
We will not be quiet and we will not go back.
The right to choose is a woman’s right and a woman’s right alone. Every woman in Canada has a right to a safe and legal abortion. We’ll never back down from protecting and promoting women’s rights in Canada and around the world.

As a Canadian, I stand for our freedom of speech, for our right to protest peacefully and respectfully. The only way to eradicate all forms of hate in our society is to not passively stand by when it happens. 🇨🇦
I can’t quite put my finger on what’s most embarrassing about this “data”. This is a disgusting and tone deaf sharing of significantly skewed information. I certainly hope Ontario has significantly fewer deaths than all of the US. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

We need our unions to stand up for N95’s or KN95’s for education workers. Now.
The “baggy blues” provided by school boards do NOT offer sufficient protection.

And just for the record. I WANT schools open. I WANT businesses to thrive. I'm fed up too. But this is like patching a hemorrhaging wound over & over again with paper thin bandaids. It's a recipe for certain failure.
