@nice_teacher Flexible Seating…. create different seating/standing/laying options and allow them to choose how to work and who to work with. Then hold them accountable for getting the work done. The freedom to choose is powerful and they will learn how to choose wisely.
25 years teaching K-6 and I have yet to see or hear a kids who is a proficient reader say they HATE reading.
But you know who I have consistently say the hate it? Kids who struggle with reading and who don’t know the HOW of reading.
@jennivanrees If you are introducing content (Tier 1) in a small group it is not an intervention. If you are reteaching any content it is intervention. Reteaching current grade level content is Tier 2 intervention, reteaching below grade level skills or gaps is Tier 3 intervention.
