I’m coming back on here to share that my Gr.10 Religion students have been hard at work on an @ocsbSEP project, creating stickers and bookmarks and spreading awareness to raise money for @CHEO & the Ottawa Food Bank.

Students have done a great job learning about the election & making various resources to share with the school. Today, we used a Google form to participate in Student Vote, which was a great way to put learning into practice. Thank you @CIVIX_Canada - this has been great!!
We’ll be watching/analyzing this commercial this morning, and previously talked about the @TimHortons Super Bowl commercial (https://t.co/gIwfFQoA4U) It’s a fun time to teach Civics! 🍕☕️🇨🇦
Getting to know my @JosephineOCSB Civics students over the past 2 weeks has been wonderful! This morning's Valentines Padlet gives a small glimpse into the diversity, encouragement, and joy that's in our class.
In Gr. 10 Civics @JosephineOCSB, we spent some time yesterday and today exploring AI. Then, we made our class tech agreement together, guided by the OCSB’s Guiding Principles - each of these points was suggested by a student and then agreed upon by everyone in class👏
Are you or anyone you know involved in an initiative that is making a difference and is contributing to the common good?
I’m looking for a variety of guest speakers to join my virtual Grade 10 Civics course. If interested/willing, please reply to this or message me!
Thanks!
Monday, Jan. 20, on Martin Luther King Day, we’re celebrating #OCSBUnitedInBlack Day promoting inclusivity and unity through deeper understanding of anti-Black racism and its impact. Everyone is invited to wear black as a symbol of our collective support.✊@OCSB_BEN@ocsbEquity
I’m excited to share that in February, I’ll be joining @JosephineOCSB as a permanent teacher, teaching World Religions and Civics/Careers. I’m grateful to be starting my permanent teaching career, and am really looking forward to this next chapter! 🎉😊

Our little Leo was born on May 19th! My husband Caleb and I are in awe of our little guy, and are so thankful to be his parents 🥰
