It’s amazing that some of the design elements that I used in the 80s when exclusively painting within this style are appearing in my work now

At the time my father wanted me to paint our stories, young me only wanted to paint like Rembrandt 😊

Gave a short painting lesson today. Very pleased that students are not using the “scrubbing the floor” or “wax on, wax off” technique

Starting a new project based on Indigenous stories. But I like to include other learning during such as Oka, Jully Black (“Our home on native land), & unmarked graves to name a few.
