@RoyalCaribbean Upset to learn how much you charge your crew for WiFi. Living months away from loved ones, providing connection should be a priority for you. Surf and stream needs to be provided. Sailing a company who appreciates their employees is a priority for me.
@algebrainiac1 I did an activity from TPT that was fun. Numbered problems are face down in a random order. Students walk around musical-chairs style and answer the one at the desk the music stops at. Student answer sheets are numbered in a table format. First student to get a “bingo” wins.
@algebrainiac1 It clicked for some Ss when I had them find length and width of a rectangle given the area (an expression), or one side length of a square given the perimeter (factoring 4).
@Jilly43@iteachmathAll@openmiddle@drnickimath@BuildMathMinds@gregtangmath@joboaler 7th grade standard specifically states to use long division to determine if fractions are repeating or terminating decimals. Also to divide rational decimals. I find now that most students are not comfortable with long division and we have to take time out to teach it.
I’m hoping to create a numbers systems unit for 7th grade. I will model and have an activity in Base 5 and then have the explore and use other base systems, and possibly research a number system no longer in use or one that is not traditional. Any ideas or activities? #iteachmath
@MandyMathEd@mathteachmrsj We assigned groups a topic from the year, including a short list of important “must have” concepts for each. Then showed them a few examples (search doodle notes for visuals) as inspiration. Paper planning sheet was used first to pre-design and brainstorm ideas. They loved it!
