Dear EU friends, I ask if you can write to your respective MEPs to ask for their support for Ukraine to receive immediate/emergency EU membership? Thank you. ❤
We care about the people we serve, the communities we live in and the country we love.
Today I launched our local election campaign with our amazing activists. Together we’re standing up for our local communities and against the politics of division. 🔸
@EdwardJDavey Thanking you and your family for sharing this and your latest interview in the @theipaper. I am so worried for my young adult sons, and appreciate your voices in solidarity and hope for the best futures for our loved ones, friends and families.

Punishing them with harsh policies harms children and families, and goes against public will.

As a parent of a disabled child, you don’t want special treatment, just the right support for your child.
Yet while families battle, private equity firms are cashing in.
We’ll end this racket, cap profits at 8%, and treat SEND as critical national infrastructure.
The Russian army has just destroyed a maternity hospital in Zaporizhia.
I no longer know what other war crime Russia still needs to commit against Ukraine for the world to see what kind of monster Ukrainians have been standing up to for years in order to save their country.
Trump is forcing the NHS to pay billions more in higher medicine costs, and this government is letting him walk all over them.
Keir Starmer should grow a backbone and tell the White House: the British people decide the future of our NHS - not a foreign regime.
It’s time we started taking Trump’s threats seriously.
God forbid if Greenland is attacked, the UK should immediately sanction the Trump Organization and think twice about whether we want US forces on our soil at all.
80 years ago today, on 10 January 1946, the United Nations General Assembly met for the first time in London.
This UN was born in a world on fire and desperate for reprieve.
750 million – nearly a third of humanity back then– still under colonial rule.
Two World Wars in a generation.
70 million dead.
The horrors of the Holocaust revealed to our collective shame.
This was a generation that knew almost nothing but suffering and despair. But the signing of the Charter in San Francisco and the first meeting of the 51 states in the Methodist Central Hall in London guided our path from the ashes of war with a compass pointing toward peace, humanity, and justice.
We have not always succeeded.
But the story of this institution is not a story of easy victories. It is the story of pulling ourselves and each other back up and trying harder.
Just as our predecessors did eight decades ago, our job is
to find the resolve not to give up.
The resolve to be Better Together.
The UK should offer to send troops to Greenland as part of a joint NATO operation under Danish and UK command.
If Trump is serious about security, he'd agree to participate and drop his outrageous threats.
Tearing the NATO alliance apart would only play into the hands of Putin.
I've signed the National Autistic Society's open letter because I won’t let baseless claims distract me from the real issues autistic people are facing. Will you join the #TruthItMatters campaign and sign it too? https://t.co/iZwWaA7iWY

‼️In case you missed it, Brits 🇬🇧 in Gibraltar 🇬🇮 celebrated being closer to the EU this weekend!
Ironically US 🇺🇸 & New Zealand 🇳🇿 Papers 📰 reported this, the U.K. 🇬🇧 media didn’t.
Why? 🤔
We need a government that cares. One that tackles real issues and makes sure every child gets the opportunities they deserve.
If the Government rolls back children’s rights and damages the SEND system, it will be yet another attack on the most vulnerable.
We’re lucky to have the Proms – the Last Night was a middle finger to the far-right https://t.co/CVB2t8vhfr
Yes Indeed, Jessica, beautifully put 🙂
Like in music itself, timing, #TommyRobinson, is everything.
