The difference between BEING innovative and LOOKING innovative begins with #PD. Don’t buy a ton of devices, offer no PD and say “Hey, go innovate now” It’s not good for the teacher, it’s not good for the students, it’s not good for anyone. Invest in PD. INNOVATE!
Grade 3 students created their own cardboard arcade and invited their schoolmates to play. Donations raised from the cardboard arcade went towards purchasing a wheelchair to help make another child’s life easier. #ibpyp#action
Grade 3 students presented a cheque to the Bahamas Association for The Physically Disabled. The students recently learned how machines make life easier. This cheque will go towards a new wheelchair that will make a big difference in someone's life

As part of their professional development, this group of teachers took a course at @harvard called "Cultures of Thinking" which helped them develop a positive environment in the classroom. They shared what they learned with colleagues today during professional development day.
Gr. 3 @ LCIS spent the day engaged in play. What an amazing day filled with thinking, questioning, problem solving, communicating, learning and having fun. #GSPD2019@LyfordSchool
