Starting to feel like my two main purposes in life are to convince people that COVID is real and that they should keep watching “Schitt’s Creek” beyond the first season.
there's nothing as humbling as having to coerce your 3yo into eating already kid-friendly foods, like i'm negotiating for him to take 2 bites of a hot dog that is likely 60% microplastics and his resistance would make you think it's asparagus.
I’ll never forget my first Thanksgiving with my in-laws when I opened the can and tried to scoop the cranberry sauce into a bowl. My father in law screamed from the other room.
It saddens me to know that somewhere in America, right at this very minute, a well-meaning person is being hornswaggled by a recipe for some ginger-mandarin cranberry compote nonsense when the perfect cranberry sauce already exists and can’t be topped.
@PowellsLeftArm It’s a trade off: you’ll have access to much cooler areas with a van, but the take down/put up is a pain. It’s worth going for the van for a couple of years while the kids are young! And if you decide it doesn’t align with your camping style, it will be easy to sell here in CO.
@Jaredewy@PowellsLeftArm Another vote up in Boulder: The Village Coffee Shop. Tiny hole in the wall who have great green chili and excellent French toast. All of my favs in Denver are gone.
@JillFilipovic I’ve noticed a regional component to this question as well. When visiting my husband’s family/friends on the East coast it’s often the first question I hear when meeting someone new, but here in Colorado, I’ve noticed people are far more interested in other aspects of your life.
