This summer, 40 primary and secondary school teachers are taking part in a unique summer school to introduce filmmaking as a newly available subject in Scottish schools.
The two-week course represents a further step towards establishing Scotland’s first Film & Screen Curriculum.

S2 had a great morning @surgeonshall attending a workshop based on our class novel 'Fleshmarket'. Pupils had the chance to handle old surgical tools, and were excited to finally see the Burke and Hare exhibit. The skin book was a gruesome highlight for all!
Junior Film club made its triumphant return today. First movie of the year... 'Ready Player One'. Big thanks to @intofilm_edu@intofilm_scot for the fabulous selection of films on the IntoFilm+ streaming service. Looking forward to watching so many of them already!
Love having the opportunity to work with people so passionate about using film in the classroom! Into Film have amazing resources, and are always finding new ways to support educators using film. If you haven't already, you should check them out!
Next up in our #IntoFilmEduAmbs spotlight is Laura! Laura uses film in class as much as possible. Most recently she has been using Hidden Figures, Remember the Titans and The Hate U Give to explore black history and the Black Lives Matter movement. Thanks for all your hard work!
