Today has just been the BEST day at St Silas CE Primary School. This morning 59 children graduated from the Rainbow University, and this afternoon we had a lovely Milkshake Monday in the sunshine!
At the Rainbow, we foster a dynamic learning environment where creativity, curiosity, and growth thrive.
While the knowledge we impart remains the same, our methods of teaching are always evolving. We tailor our teaching strategies to meet each pupil’s unique needs. 🌈
Happy National Administrative Professionals Day!
We’re celebrating the incredible administrative heroes who keep the Rainbow running smoothly every single day!
Your hard work, dedication, and attention to detail do not go unnoticed.
We've come to the end of another writing unit and have started our independent writing. We are retelling the story of 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory'! Mr Wright is Looking forward to reading some fantastic narrative writing! #SilasWriting#TheWriteStuff@janeconsidine ✍️🍫🤩
Today, Mr Wright had the pleasure of taking these Year 6 pupils down to London to visit the Houses of Parliament! We had an amazing day visiting lots of the sights! 🚂🇬🇧👑@stsilasschool#SilasEnrichment
In R.E, we have been looking at the themes of betrayal and forgiveness within the story of Easter. Today, we looked at the order of events of Holy Week and did a 'Hot Seat with Judas' to discover how he betrayed Jesus. #SilasRE#Easter ⛪️✝️☀️
In our @CountryTrust food discovery session, we decided what to grow in our garden this year! After researching the suitability of growing certain fruits and vegetables in our climate, we have decided to grow potatoes, strawberries, peas and corn! 🥔🍓🫛🌽
Massive praise to these pupils for brilliant work in writing today. One volunteered to have his book edited by me on the visualiser and one told the class the three rules about fronted adverbials.
Jelly on a plate, jelly on a plate, wibble, wobble, wibble, wobble, jelly on plate… 🎶🍮
Today we counted how many jelly we could see, colour matched them and ate some jelly during snack 😋
We've loved putting the all back in football over the last few weeks. Our children have enjoyed using the new football equipment that was gifted to us by @SportsDirectUK for the #MonsterKickabout challenge. ⚽️⭐️🥅
Today, we started our new Maths topic - Area and Perimeter! We looked the perimeter of irregular shapes and used string to help us measure! #SilasMaths
