In case you missed it: In 2023, private schools received a 25% increase of taxpayer funds compared to the previous year.
Public schools received a 2.5% increase.
📣 @SaskTeachersFed Virtual Provincial Collective Bargaining Town Hall Meetings are set. Meetings will be held over Zoom and are expected to last around one hour. Please register at [email protected].
All members should have received a test text from the new STF messaging system. This will drastically reduce wait times for emails to arrive and important information can be sent and received very quickly. (1/2)
All Saskatchewan residents should be asked their priorities… not just those on @SaskParty’s mailing list… complete their survey and let them know what you think!

I can only imagine if I put up a sign for a two and one half hour lunch break because I anticipated having visits from some of my families who weren’t happy with me or how things were going. The most important ability is availability. @STFPresident@SaskTeachersFed#ISupportSTF
Teachers are ready to get back to the table as soon as the GTBC has the authority to engage in real negotiations. How long will government prolong the uncertainty?
Samantha Becotte (@STFPresident) joined North Battleford teachers today and had a simple message for government.
"We've had a decade—a generation!—of kids who haven't received the supports that they truly need. Get back to the table. Start making real commitments."
Saskatchewan teachers are focused on resolving important issues in the public education system, most notably class size and composition. Through two days of job action, the outpouring of support from parents, business, churches and communities has been overwhelming. (1/3)
22,000+ emails in January (if this government is confused… this IS actually tens of thousands)
Enough is enough!
It’s time for @SaskParty to stop playing politics and give the GTBC a new mandate so they have the authority to start negotiating. https://t.co/B1UKTeOSTV
In case you missed it: Teachers are being asked to do more with less, while divisions are stretched thin.
"We know it’s not sustainable to keep going with what we currently have, and we know that has to change."
By now, you've seen the government's latest attempt to spin their harmful education cuts — billboards plastered around the province with misleading messages about investment in schools.
Let's cut through the spin and correct the record.

Improving class composition = improving learning conditions for students.
This is why Saskatchewan teachers are out on the streets today for their 2nd one-day province-wide strike.
