I’ve said for YEARS that being a part time (female) teacher is terrible - we are often mistreated, undervalued and overlooked - and it is sad to read that nothing is changing (I’m much older than the women interviewed for the article).

I think perhaps as a profession we expend far too much energy into trying to encourage, enforce and track that pupils read at home. Probably more useful to imagine ‘what would I do if none of my pupils read at home?’ and then start just doing that every day.
@jmpneale I had our moderation, then I was quality assured moderating, then OFSTED darkened our doorstep all in the period of 7 working days so I was done by mid June.
