New post about using #librarycenters to promote student choice book awards like the @PA_YRCA in PA or @TBABooks in TX. Every U.S. state and most Canadian provinces has one to inspire students to explore new literature during library classes. #tlchat https://t.co/3ZuvsKzQUQ
@TCEA Thank you for the shout-out! I'm not active here anymore, but if anyone has questions, they can find me at MrsJintheLibrary on other social apps.
@TCEA Thanks for the shout-out! It's an older conference presentation from 2019, so some things have changed since then. If folks have questions, they can reach me on IG and FB at MrsJintheLibrary.
Well, I didn't get a pic with @gerrybrooksprin, but the #iu13etc was still an amazing day. Catching up with former colleagues, sharing tech tips & hacks, & connecting with so many educators in my area. #librarytwitter
@EDUwithEmily As someone who recently resigned from K-12 teaching, there's a gleeful delight in speaking up for education and libraries in public. We need more advocates who have worked K-12 ed, but don't anymore!
@JenTheLittleOwl It might just take a bit for the algorithm to update for you. I'm still seeing lots of librarians I follow, and I genuinely think and hope #librarytwitter and #tlchat will stick around, even if who's here changes. Also, here's my cat if that helps. π»πββ¬
What book or books are you grateful for?
Is it one from your childhood that impacts you as a reader today, or is it an author/illustrator you recently discovered this year?

Iβm refusing to accept the narrative that these NAEP scores are a big deal.
The last three years have been bonkers & the students lost a few percentage points off an optional test.
Everything will be okay.
@CajunMSTeacher Haha...sounds depressing when it's phrased that way, but yes, I resigned from full-time teaching in June, however I'm still working in education. Might go back someday, or might not. Haven't decided yet.
Hey PA librarians! I'm almost finished with the new @PA_YRCA activities for the K-3 list. Make sure you're signed up for my email list to get it for FREE: https://t.co/e273oRRpdc @PSLA_News#PSLAchat#PSLA
@LibraryMelle Because the 40-hour work week assumes a spouse who does all the house chores, cooking, & childcare as their primary role. @toddgrooten is right...we're taught to expect ourselves to do twice the work in the same amount of time.
