@marcrowland73 Fantastic to see The Compass being given public praise. The school is led by a fantastic headteacher and I am familiar with the school, so it's not a surprise to me. But it's important to recognise and celebrate that PRUs are great schools too. Well done team Compass 👏🎉

Sad to read that such an inspirational figure has passed away. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with him at a conference just short of a year ago. Sending heartfelt condolences to his loved ones and all who knew him.

This is formal but here goes. The family of Sir Tim Brighouse are very sad to announce that Tim died in the John Radcliffe Hospital today after a short illness. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a towering figure in the word of education. 1/

So “the visit” has happened. The inspectors were great but we really do need a framework for AP where we aren’t expected to follow mainstream academic expectations in order to be providing the best quality of education to disengaged learners for whom mainstream doesn’t work.
