In the Larson house we’re on Quarantine Week #8 (AKA Maternity Leave) and clearly it is going well for us..
I love my wife, but if she ever disappears it’s because of a phase 10 game, and at this point I’m pretty sure my argument could be pretty convincing in court

After reading The @Peekapak Pals and The Mysterious Box with my K students today, I asked, “What is optimism?”
A student eagerly raided his hand and said, “THE PIG, THE PIG ROCK IS OPTIMISM!!”
...I think we are rereading tomorrow. But, I am #Optimistic that we will get this!😂

A4 I think it is important to educate parents. Give them the same verbiage you us in the classroom, so they can practice with their children at home too! #Peekachat
A3 I check in with my students first thing in the morning, as soon as they walk though you door. If the recognize their body is not ready to learn, Ss choose a tool to help them regulate and start off the day on a good note! #Peekachat
A2 I love using “free time” during Recess, Boost Up/Gym and Play Centers to help students develop Social Emotional skills, and problem slove using techniques we have learned in whole group! #PeekaChat
A1 All Ss check in with Zones each morning, we incorporate how characters are feeling in books the we read, talk about how our actions make others feel &work to recognize when our body needs a break from learning, and find tools to help us get ready to learn again! #PeekaChat
A6 I set individual goals for each of my Ss in the areas of Math, Reading, Social Emotional (and Language for my ELL Ss) I discuss these goals with parents are conferences. It is lot of work, but helps to keep myself, the parents and students accountable for Ss success. #ECEchat
