@GSharks4NCL @ecfchess I echo what you say here. I first saw Jude as a little nipper, and his mum, Paul and others were always incredibly supportive and believed in him. He is a likeable lad above all, and very talented to boot. I wish him every success.

One thing you've got to admit is that juniors like Banerjee and Royal are having epic tournaments. Great to see Coventry's Jude Shearsby get FM. Believe he is in state school like many of the Sharks were. Well done to his parents and Paul Lam whom invested a lot @ecfchess

It's been a year of 'firsts' for the Coventry Chess Academy. First British Junior Chess Champions, first England national team member and now our first LJCC Champion! WHAT A PERFORMANCE from Jude! It had everything. Heart, determination, maturity and some brilliant chess.
