I am currently sitting through a 15+ minute slideshow video about an evaluation system that would definitely mark me down for showing a 15+ minute slideshow video.
Finally went to @MeowWolf Denver. I can't wait to take students on a field trip here! A lot of their installations must have had some cool software programs running them. Such a beautiful blend of computer science and art!
@edutopia Do more fun and silly team building activities than you think you should throughout the semester, especially the first couple weeks. Make sure they're safe and inclusive- get feedback from kids on the best ones. Don't underestimate the power of laughter and relationships.
@Shelhusk1@DrBradJohnson@cjbj9612 I'd love to see districts ask administrators to temporarily step back into the classroom every 5 to 10 years to keep their pedagogy sharp and try out new policies in person...
Teaching goal for 2022: embrace joy in my classroom. Showcase how much I love teaching (and set myself up to stay in love), and infect my students with that same joy. Create a safe and warm space filled with laughter and play- a respite from the outside world. Prioritize joy.
A lot of video game graphics libraries use radians to draw arcs and other curves. My pumpkin's eyes use 0 as its start angle and pi as its end angle. The mouth starts at pi and ends at 2pi. What other faces and designs can you make?

Someone from central office just accidentally emailed the whole district. Do you think the number of reply-all "remove me from this list" responses are linear over time? Quadratic? What if we compare "remove me" messages to the "stop replying all" messages?
Coding Sierpinski Gaskets this week. How many triangles do we remove at the 10th iteration? The nth? What happens to area and perimeter as we remove more? Fractals are so fun, and spark such great questions!
