Brilliant podcast from @Sathnam and again, reminding me of how great it is that I get to talk about Empire when I teach. Our curriculum fills our students with a great diet. Some lovely nuggets about food to throw in. https://t.co/dN7MRXunGQ
This should be mandatory listening for all teachers. @alomshaha speaks beautifully about how important the job is and how amazing teachers are. Something that sadly, we often need reminding of! https://t.co/diBF0YDoQz
Disappointed by poor communication & organization by @teslaeurope Dartford - 3hr appt this morning turned into overnight stay with no updates or contact. Now car-less tomorrow. Manager assures me travel costs covered but systems should prevent this. @TeslaOwnersUK@TeslaInTheUK
Finding this from @caitlinmoran super interesting and thought provoking. It certainly helps to make more sense of things I’m hearing from our teenage boys at school. https://t.co/Ueufj8e5NM
@MrsRPatel@Team_English1 We do them in class and film via iPad or Chromebook. It does take lesson time but we’ve really tried to ensure we include a focus on speaking and listening as it’s such an important skill. It’s a huge achievement for some of our students.
@lkm_eng @Team_English1@LitdriveUK We run through each year group and check we’re on track. Share good practice and ideas. Discuss pushing HAS and scaffolding for SEND. Moderate. Plan, do and review SoW. Subject knowledge PD.
There’s never enough time. Department time is so precious.
Found this podcast from @emmagannon and @brucedaisley fascinating. Thinking about how these ideas could improve teaching which is in desperate need of a culture change to retain staff. We cannot be our best working 60 hours a week! https://t.co/WdENQR7e1q
I read Empireland and loved it and I’ve really enjoyed reading ‘Stolen History’ by @Sathnam I’m looking forward to weaving some of the content in with our diverse MYP curriculum. So much for students to learn and question!
@EngChatUK This is the first full exam we’ve sat since 2019 as last year had dispensation. I feel that my reference points are off and I’m keen to see how harshly (or not) the papers are marked.
