One of my students only wants to focus on their transitions (their other scores are solid). Another student had good scores for transitions but needed to work on body paragraph structure.

They just teamed up for their essay, and a lightbulb turned on for me re: group essays.

@RebekahODell1 Resources and the how to teach it. As 6-12 certified I was never taught how to teach vocab and teaching 8th graders with various levels, it doesn’t seem like one approach will work. What strategies will help them attack unfamiliar words without the memorization of definitions?
