@naturelife_ok This cat is a tortoishell and they are almost always female. I've seen a comment suggesting Frida (the hirsute Kahlo) so I'll go with that.
@paul1964Jam Sandilands County Primary School M/cr as it was then, the headmaster Mr Redfern (retired 1968) when taking a class would throw the blackboard duster at boys only. Girls got a piece of chalk.
@dineen20dineen I'm delirious about our new cooker fitment with the eye-level grille. This means that without my having to bend down the hot fat can squirt straight inot my eyes! Flanders and Swan. In the 70s we got a cooker wider than the one shown with 2 side by side ovens + eye level grill
@Christo03770888 Yes, we had one. I came back from postgrad studies in 1982 to find it replaced by an automatic washing machine. We had it from 1961 - it often leaked I recall.
@ronsterd89 Cake tins for sponge cakes. You would grease the tin and then when cooked move the handle thing (even though I've used these idk what it's called) hopi g that the sponge won't stick. It often did so I now use liners or greaseproof paper
