@implausibleblog It's no longer a novel virus, the immunocomp are offered boosters, and have probably built up some natural immunity too. We still have an immune system, you know!
@MPrasad65824@elisaperego78 A friend of mine declared her immune system to be prepared for Covid and ended up spending ten days in hospital with it. She made a good recovery. But most people don't even need treatment though. The immune system can indeed cope!
@NoHealthNoFun@fillthewhole It certainly does. It is exactly how my contacts have experienced it. They have described it as similar to cold or 'flu. None of them have experienced Long Covid, by the way.
@fillthewhole@VintageKidsNL There is no clear 'how it feels' with Covid. I have never tested positive for it but going by what my contacts have reported, there can be no symptoms at all, just a couple of symptoms, several symptoms, or the need for treatment. It can feel like cold, 'flu, or nothing at all.
@fillthewhole Why would one test for either? Doesn't matter what a malady is called. The only important point is how it affects us. Most people will either continue as normal, just avoid 'granny', or stay home, depending on their circumstances, symptoms & attitudes. As pre-2020.
@GrowingUpRetro I didn't use a backpack. I did however demand a new pencil case every year as they'd started to sell some groovy ones in fun fur in W H Smiths.
@heysugardumplin During the most strict measures the virus still circulated. I remember France trying to mandate FFP3 masks and abandoning them as they helped not one whit.
@comradedykepop I always tell anyone who is masked that I am happy for them to remove it. Poor buggers, running around with face pink and sweating. For hours on end. They'll end up ill themselves from lack of airflow.
@Norm235 I've said this many times, yes, you are right. It's been compared to opposite ends of a horseshoe! Neither understands or recognises how extreme and irrational they are.
@malolisica Why do think the common cold is now nuisance value only? It's because over centuries we've all had it numerous times. The immune system is ready for it. The immune system is primed!
@AnnadeBuisseret@drseanmullen I agree. One can wish he would do so. But not demand he does. This is fuel to the fire of the paranoid who believe they will be vaccinated in the A and E after a bad accident, the medics intent on saving life (with limited time and in short order).
@drseanmullen Are you aware that last year he won 3 grand slams&made the final of the 4th, aged 36, beating players 14-16 years younger? A historic record.
That doesn't sound like long COVID, however much you'd like it to be.
You're being a little imprudent with your long-distance diagnosis.
