@merevancosky@TonyParks7 This is a challenge for me as well. I feel if I repeat or reword a question it will be helpful, but in all reality, sometimes my students just need more time to process. Something I’ll be working on 😉
@TonyParks7#SSWORDPOWER Using silence is powerful and I feel that I use wait time effectively. A challenge for me is slowing down my speaking rate. At times I catch myself talking too fast and need to remind myself to slow down. This will allow my students time to process the information!
@TonyParks7 A1: Convey faith in children’s abilities and intentions - this guideline for teacher language really hits home to me. Over the years, I’ve seen what a difference it can make when I, as the teacher, show my students that I have faith in them. It builds confidence and trust!
