Book 193/1000 of the Decade.
Thought I'd lean into a bit of YA fiction to ease me into the final half-term of the year. I have followed the author on Insta for a while and she never disappoints - and neither does this.

Book 192/1000 of the Decade.
The character development in this is incredible. The plot has many twists and turns. It's my first Claire Fuller book and I can't wait to read the rest of her repertoire. Devoured this over three days ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book 191/1000 of the Decade.
This is a narrative which really builds and drills itself into your imagination. A story of hope amongst desolation.

Book 190/1000 of the Decade.
Another great installment of the series. Ended on a real cliffhanger - now I'll have to read the next one imminently.

Book 189/1000 of the Decade.
Book club read. I love the way that Maggie 0'Farrell writes - so fluid & easy to read. My third of her novels. I felt like one of the fictional family. I learned about the 1976 heatwave - I had no clue as to the severity.

Book 188/1000 of the Decade.
A book club read. The protagonist, Tova, will always have a place in my heart. As will the octopus - Marcellus- maybe he was the protagonist? Either way - such a heart-warming story which reminds us what is actually important in life. 👵🏽🐙
Fifth book of 2026. 5/26
Book 186/1000 of the Decade.
The protagonist, Frankie, will stay with me forever - heroic and frustrating in equal measure. Such a compelling read and an important part of history told - or should I write HERstory.
Fourth book of 2026. 4/26
Book 185/1000 of the Decade.
My 12year-old borrowed this from his school library because he thought I'd love it - I did. Bleak, yet hopeful. I need to read the rest of the series now. So beautifully written.
