Attended the #GAConf24 in Manchester yesterday. It was great to get a further insight into teaching primary geography effectively! Got some useful resources to share with staff too! #geographylead #primaryphase

Ofsted released a Geography subject report today.

‘Leaders had not considered how fieldwork should be taught or how pupils would learn more about how geographers carry out their work.’

Year One have had a blooming good time searching for signs of Spring and identifying deciduous and evergreen trees as part of our work in Science and Geography.

Our Pupil Parliamentarians did a fantastic job in assembly today. They shared the great work eco-council has been doing to keep our environment tidy and their plans for making roads around Deeplish safer #CareDareFairShare

Lots of map work in Year 6 this week! They have learnt how to find 6 figure grid references and have created their own OS maps. Next week, they will be planning a route using @Digimap4Schools 🌍 #growinggreatgeographers #mapskills

Year 6 have had a busy afternoon working hard in geography and developing their #mappingskills as part of their topic, 'Ordnance Survey Mapping'. To aid their learning, they used @Digimap4Schools to identify key points of interest in Rochdale. #growinggreatgeographers

Yesterday we had presentations from our middle leaders @Guyoliver1, Ameena and @MissTahir showing the impact of their year long project with @LPDAssociates and @TeamManorGreen. So inspiring to see the commitment to continued CPD and self-reflection. A really successful project.
