What a lovely message our new class text ‘The Lion Inside’ has about no matter what our size, we all have strengths and weaknesses. We enjoyed our hot seating task focusing on the lion’s and mouse’s feelings during the build up to their meeting #Ambitiouscurriculum 🦁🐁
We listened to Luke 8:22 about the miracle when Jesus calmed the storm. We retold the story using stick puppets and painted ‘stormy waters’ inspired by the artwork of Neil Thorogood #Christatthecentre@stambcathlife ✝️⛵️🌊
In maths, we had great fun playing ‘Right Angle Detectives’. We enjoyed identifying right angles in our classroom using our special right angle detector #Ambitiouscurriculum@MissOMahonyY6 📐🟩📘🖥️
Well done to our recipients of the St Ambrose Bee for last half term. Thank you for displaying our school values in all that do and setting an example to others #Cultureforsuccess 💚🐝
On Friday, we wore something blue for ‘Wear Blue For Bobby Day’ to raise awareness of road safety and support The Bobby Colleran Trust @slowdown4bobby 💙
We really enjoyed our emotional literacy lesson and had fun using facial expressions to express our emotions. We also discussed the importance of knowing who we can talk to when we feel worried or sad #Ambitiouscurriculum
Another fantastic start to the week with 100% attendance every day so far. Let us maintain this and achieve another full week of 100% attendance! 💯 #Improvingattendance
During Celebration of the Word, we listened to Matthew 17:5-9 and reflected on the voice of God identifying Jesus as his son and commanding the disciples to listen to him #ChristAtTheCentre@stambcathlife ✝️⛪️
As part of Lent this week, we have been fasting from negative attitudes and feasting on positive encouragement. We enjoyed decorating pebbles to express and spread our positivity #ChristAtTheCentre ✝️
We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day today! It was wonderful to see everyone dressed up as book characters. We shared our passion for reading with the Reception class. We enjoyed visiting our school library and designing a healthy plate for a story book character 📚
A huge thank you to our wonderful reading buddies in Y2 who joined us this morning to share their favourite books. We loved listening to you read. The expression and character voices you used made every story come alive and brought so much joy to our classroom. @MrsSadiqY2
We are really enjoying our new text ‘The Bear and the Piano’ by David Litchfield @dc_litchfield and had great fun hot seating the character of the Bear #Ambitiouscurriculum
