Students weathered the jolly ranchers down in a glass jar and then layered the flavors in a small cup. After layering they compacted and added pressure to cement it all together.

Today our 8th graders built roller coasters to identify potential & kinetic energy along with Newton's forces! It was a CRAZY day with marbles flying everywhere but they did awesome. I was impressed by their engineering and collaboration skills. 🎢

7th graders reviewed the indicators of physical & chemical changes while working on their scientific writing skills with a CER (claim, evidence and reasoning).
