Students in the Comets unit at Crossroads North had the chance to learn each other's names today by playing a game of Entourage, which is essentially an ever-expanding "Rock, Paper, Scissors" competition.
@NolanFossum I would need to know if the student has a conceptual understanding of subtraction or not before commenting. This paper is a golden opportunity to have a deep math discussion with the student. I'm sure that would offer more clarity for both parties!

Skilled laborers are hard to find. College (and student loan debt) isn't for everyone. VoTech should be encouraged, promoted and highly valued as an equal path to success as "college prep".
Trade schools are the real MVPs. Not only do they offer specialized training in high-demand fields, but they also have higher job placement rates and the potential for good salaries. Plus, they're more affordable and can get you into the workforce faster. Thoughts?
At Crossroads North recently, Ms. Blayne and Ms. Colaner taught their students how to wrap presents. Meanwhile, students in Ms. Bock and Ms. Perillo's class learned how to play a game of dreidel.

This video from @gfletchy explains multiplication from 2nd to 5th grades and applies to middle and high school teachers too (think: distributive property, polynomial multiplication, etc.). https://t.co/NUtLj06LLt #iteachmath
