A pleasure to spend the weekend at @UniofOxford with Mrs Harding & Miss Atherton from St Margaret's. We have joined the Farmington scholarship officially&have been truly inspired listening to the projects from this year's scholars. Thanks to @HMCOxford for treating us so well💚✝️
I've seen lots of students at Wembley today, current & ex, all of them said 'Hi' to a teacher on the weekend. I won't name & shame all of them as some were Saints fans in the Warro end😱😂
Hope students never leave the Hope community! 💚 Win or lose, rugby is the best 💛💙
And with that the 24/25 season comes to an end...!
Year 11 it has been an absolute pleasure, you've been outstanding for 5 years & I'm so proud of you. You've worked so hard in RE, it's hard to believe it's all over! Good luck with the rest of your exams. Roll on results day🤞🏼💚
It was an absolute pleasure to accompany 7G to church today for our Lenten service, they were outstanding on our journey. We learned all about the final week of Jesus' life & understand how significant each day was. Thanks to @HopeChaplain for organising such a great event. 💚✝️
GCSE Citizenship 2027 launched tonight at Year 9 Guided Choices, we had lots of interest🙌🏼 If anyone has any more questions, please come and see @MrsSedRE or @MissGallagherRE this week. 🇬🇧💙
My student of the week has had me so impressed each lesson this week.👏🏼 Matthew B 26A2, has such a positive attitude and has gone above and beyond with effort. So proud and impressed, keep it up Matthew! 💚
25R3 learned that during Rosh Hashanah Jews eat pomegranates as its believed there's 613 pips to represent 613 laws. They hadn't all seen one so today we counted the pips & then taste tested! Safe to say that they now love this fruit, &will remember the link for the exam! ✡️
Will H (Y10) has tried very hard this week during assessment feedback. He used the model answer on the pink dirt sheet & an evaluation breakdown to redo his answer (black pen). The updated answer (in pink) read very well & included great evaluation-very impressed Will 👏🏼
Megan W (Y10) worked well this week looking at how Christian Aid works for equality and fairness with their Tax Justice, Climate Change & Refugee Campaign. Megan then completed an exam answer to demonstrate her understanding, well done👏💚
Well done to Alfie W in 26A2 for making excellent progress in Christianity Practices👏🏼 Alfie was happy to see the increase over each of the 3 tests during the topic. 🎉
Huge thank you to Team Hope for kindly donating £400 to Mary's Meals. This wonderful charity provides school children with a daily meal in our poorest countries for as little as 10p for 1 meal. It cost £19.15 to feed a child in school for a year - we have made a difference 👏🏼💚
26R2 have been looking at Pilgrimage to Iona & Jerusalem and the relevance of Christmas this week in RE. Great effort from Isobel J (Pilgrimage) and Lola McC (Gospel accounts). 👏🏼💚
26A2 worked very well today in their walking talking mock. They recalled Christianity very well and worked hard on developing their skills so their knowledge gets maximum marks. 👏🏼 💚 (book example: Harry D)
27AH had lots of fun plotting events on the evil chart. As a class, we debate which was the worst; rape, genocide, abusing animals or dealing drugs as these were the top 4 offences chosen by the class. They have really enjoyed the topic of morality & articulate themselves well!
