Students work hardest for teachers who believe in them, support them, and genuinely care. Adults are no different. That’s why it’s always relationships before rigor.
When I say relationships are at the heart of education, I don’t just mean warm and fuzzies.
I mean trust, boundaries, consistency, and honest feedback.
I mean high expectations and showing up even when it’s hard.
It’s not extra work—it’s the most important work.
But make no mistake—it is work.
