Forgive me my friends, for I am sore afflicted. I have just learnt of the death of a dear, dear friend: alone in his cottage which I walk past many times a day. He was young & active and my heart is sore, to think I by-passed him when I was so sorely needed. I cannot write more.

Miss Cireena hath lived some time in China.Such doors, says she, have a high lintel that must be stepped over.For women with bounden feet this be difficult without help,so 'tis a way for to keep women in their place, indeed!I find it cruel,to use an open doorway to keep women in.
