In the most basic terms, reading lessons involve a mixture of reading text and responding to it (i.e. discussing text or producing written responses).
And I think that in many (if not most) primary schools the balance between these two things is *way* off.

@ANewChapterBks Planet Omar by @Zendibble with my mixed 3/4 class. One boy swayed the voted entirely as he had read it before and gave the best review ever! Really looking forward to it.
I'd like to do my thing of gifting a class/teacher a full free class set of whatever their novel is when they get back to school.
So what is your first class novel? Which year? Why? I'll pick someone and send them your way so your year gets off to a ripper.
RTs appreciated.
I’d like to do my usual half term trick of giving one class and one teacher somewhere an entire set of their class novel for this half term. So tell me, what’s your class novel? And then retweet for a chance to win. And keep us in mind for future book orders!
