Shout out to our Science Olympiad Varsity and JV teams for competing last weekend at Thomas Middle School and placing in 4 events!
Today is “Dress Like Your Favorite Teacher” day and we are decked out in purple because we love @JackiMjoen! Shout out to our favorite Wildcat who continues to show us all what strength and determination really looks like! WE MISS YOU! 💜💚 #together79
Keeping it cool today by creating insulators to keep the firefighters(chocolate) from melting! Loved seeing the pride from their successful creations! @FSD79
(Shout out to my colleagues that created this awesome lab activity)
@MattBirdsley Thank you so much!! I miss you all regularly! I’ll never forget all the laughs being across from @kreiley4 and all I learned in my years in SPS!
@MrClikestoteach Highly recommend just jumping right in. It’s scary but 1000% worth it. All you can do is learn everyday from both successes and failures!
7th graders tested their ability to keep Homer alive by maintaining “homer-ostasis”. Students had to keep Homer’s temperature, fluid level, and fluid color constant…just like the human body systems have to do to keep our body “happy”! @FSD79
Successful Science Olympiad kickoff!Today’s mini engineering challenge had students building the tallest notecard tower — the challenge about it was they could only get notecards after they found out things they had in common with their group. Great first day! @FSD79
Structure/function relationships using microscopes in 7th grade! Designing their own labs based on scientific questions in 8th grade! Fun all around! @FSD79
Shout out to the MHS Science Olympiad team for bringing this fun forensics lab! Thank goodness it wasn’t our two suspects Miss Hengesh or Ms. Winkelman that stole the cookies! 🍪🧪
