My 7th graders are finishing Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie this week. It’s one of my favorites to teach, and my students have loved it. Thanks so much @JSonnenblick for writing this masterpiece for us to learn from and enjoy!
In 100 days, my new book series debuts. I can't wait for you to read it. And, if you can't wait either, I'm going to give away an Advanced Reader's Copy. Retweet this post and you're automatically entered for a chance to win. I'll pick a random winner later this week. @SimonKIDS
Today we are finishing up one of my favorites to teach - Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie. My seventh graders have really enjoyed reading it together. Thanks @JSonnenblick for such a wonderful story!
During enrichment time, I tried a version of a strategy that I observed at the high school last week. I loved how the hexagonal thinking led to great discussions and connections about our Poe unit!
Today we had such a great class analyzing Phineas Gage’s recovery after his accident. Students were able to list his physical and psychological symptoms and cite evidence to support or refute Dr. Harlow’s statement that Phineas was fully recovered.
Rockvale Ravens Book Club met today and had a great discussion on the book Starfish by @AuthorLisaFipps! I love when students can’t wait to discuss a book together.
