Thank you so much @centerofthewest for @SkypeClassroom with us via @zoom. Ss were intrigued while learning about new animals they haven't heard about and how they adapt both physically and behaviorally. So glad we could still integrate virtual field trips :)
We learned a lot and just how much time and work is put into coding and game design. Ss were excited to hear how @FortniteGame was created and that @vanpaulfix uses the engine to design his games at @FullSail. Way to end our #HourOfCode week! #WeAreMCPS
@nearpod, @CodeMonkeySTU, and @hourofcode week OH MY! Today we dug real deep to learn a new type of programming and Ss compared script code to block coding. Tomorrow we hear from @vanpaulfix on coding video games!
Learning about energy types has been so much fun! Yesterday we discussed electrical energy and how it flows through circuits. Today we designed and constructed our own paper circuits experiencing open and closed simple and parallel circuits.
Thanks to @FloridaMuseum and Carson Springs Wildlife conservatory for letting our 3rd graders explore and giving us a great tour! We learned, we played, and we came back with great information. π»
Putting our speaking and listening skills and science standards to the test today. Showcasing what we have learned about energy so far through @Flipgrid
