Not an average day in @SMTVCardiff … Privileged to be invited to meet King Charles and Queen Camilla today at @SeneddWales. Thank you for taking the time to speak to our pupils and give us an unforgettable day. @RoyalFamily @cardiffcouncil @vaughangething @CSCJES @stmarysCF10

@AliAbdi_ @jasonmohammad Next time @AliAbdi_!

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

A brilliant discussion around ALN & our community needs with @AliAbdi_ @waynedcarter & @mrsnprichard. A trip to the @principalitysta with y3, an inspirational talk by @jasonmohammad & a meeting with @Run4Wales to plan our @SMTVCardiff running event with @CAVC. What a privilege.

@JDunrod @SeneddWales @vaughangething @principalitysta @WRU_Community @SMTVCardiff It’s been a joy and a privilege. Really looking forward to future partnerships so our children can learn and grow from your books and we can support and promote your brilliant work 📚

What a week! A trip to the @SeneddWales for FMQs, a chance to congratulate @vaughangething, a community Iftar, a morning at the @principalitysta thanks to @WRU_Community and a book read with @JDunrod. @SMTVCardiff is a busy place. Proud to be committed to our #onechancechildren

So proud of our multicultural, yet wholly Welsh Eisteddfod. Made even better by the launch of Jess Dunrod’s Billy Boston biography in our school (the site of Billy’s primary school) A great day to be Welsh, part of @SMTVCardiff, part of Butetown (& to eat too many Welsh cakes)

It was a privilege to take Y6 to London. After years of me ‘dreaming’ of a London trip, we spent a morning at @TowerOfLondon followed by a tour of the Houses of Parliament. To see their knowledge of governance and our political system was awe inspiring. Proud doesn’t come close.

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

It was lovely to welcome the lovely @SianPonting44 back to SMTV last week. It’s a joy to see our families learning together and we can’t wait for further partnerships with in the new year. 😊

@mrsnprichard @teachergoals @SianPonting44 Very true… 👗

@coldplay - year 3 from @SMTVCardiff are doing a tour of Cardiff today for our school trip. Any chance we’ll see Chris Martin out and about? We’d love to say hi!

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

Well it’s not often you can say you’ve been invited to welcome the new King! Such a privilege to stand at @cardiff_castle gates and celebrate with our pupils from years 1-6, as well as all our @SMTVCardiff staff. A day to remember for everyone.

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

A wonderful week to be working in @SMTVCardiff. Eid celebrations, Sports Days, @CU_Learning graduation at @cardiffuni, an inter generational @sole session with @ChildFriendlyC1, full governing body and more curriculum development. Thankful for such a busy, child centred school.

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

So proud to be part @SMTVCardiff. The Schools of Sanctuary accreditation genuinely reflects the welcome, care and warmth of this community. The insight of our pupils, the support of our partners and commitment of our staff to make SMTV the place it is, never ceases to amaze me.

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

A fantastic morning celebrating the opening of the @TigerBayABC gym. It was genuinely a privilege to spend time in our community and see everyone’s warmth, kindness, togetherness and welcome. What Wasim and the team have accomplished is amazing, and this is just the start…

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

So proud of our @SMTVCardiff staff and pupils for being involved in the @urdd centenary celebrations yesterday and for featuring on @BBCWalesNews. Welsh is the third language for the majority of our pupils! Well done @MrsParsonsSMTV @MrsWebb_SMTV!

[Mrs Baston @Mrs_Baston]

Anti-bullying week brings such a vital message. I’m always pleased to put on the odd socks and reinforce this key message to our pupils (yes, that’s one very random pairing of a sock with crowns on it, thank you @Bodenclothing and one with dogs, thank you @Joulesclothing!)

[ISLCymru @ISLCymru]

Thanks to all the Welsh teachers who took part in today's SOLE session. Their 'Big Question': What is the future of teaching? Watch this space for more SOLE-ful collaboration @StartSOLE @ISLCymru @int_links @SMTVCardiff @SchoolFairwater @YsgolTreferthyr @HawthornCardiff
