Teamwork, creativity and coding were the focus for this afternoon in P7P @Clerkhillschool. Children coded Microbits to create dice then created a game so they could use them. #skills#reachup#coding
P7S having an introduction to coding and robotics with our new RVR+ robots. All did a brilliant job getting their robots moving. Before long some were even creating their own courses. @Clerkhillschool#coding#play#problemsolving
Today we gave P6 a chance to use Botleys and VexGo robots during our taster coding club. After they got the robots moving they were soon creating their own challenges! Reviews from the pupils were all positive! @MissCMoir @Clerkhillschool#coding#playistheway#pupilvoice
And just like that my learning moved from red to amber today….thanks to my coding friends and the little Bee-Bot here!!! Looking forward to giving it a try! @Clerkhillschool@Mrs_C_Stephens @MissCMoir #alwayslearning 🙂
@Clerkhillschool colleagues demonstrating a ‘having a go’ attitude towards their own learning. Fantastic to see so many happy faces. #playistheway even for adults! #robotsdontbite
P7P @Clerkhillschool coded Christmas decorations for our tree using Micro:bits. We had a variety of flashing animations and sounds and it looked very effective! #coding@SSERCDigital thanks for the training!
P6A had a busy afternoon yesterday measuring a scale model of our solar system. We measured our solar system on paper, then used a larger scale outside. It was great to hear the mathematical language being used! @Clerkhillschool Thanks @Mrs_C_Stephens for the idea!!
@alexhorne My husband was surprised to see you in statue form @britishmuseum. The museum claim it’s Hadrian but I can only assume you are a secret time traveller.
P6 Lego League team
“Clerkasauras and the bricks" worked very hard this year - even throughout lockdown to complete their innovation project and robot missions. The hard work paid off and the won the innovation project and came second overall.
