Hanifa Nakiryowa was an ambitious student at Uganda’s Makerere University when she met her economics lecturer, Dr. Faisal Buyinza. He used his academic power to pressure her into a marriage that quickly became a prison of severe domestic abuse.
Determined to break free, Hanifa bravely left him. In retaliation, she was lured to his home in 2011 and ambushed with industrial-grade acid. The catastrophic attack dissolved her nose, blinded her right eye, and left her permanently scarred.
Though her body was shattered, her resolve was not. She founded CERESAV to champion acid attack survivors, yet her own attacker walked free after the state dropped the case.
Hanifa’s story remains an urgent, unyielding cry for justice and accountability.
JUSTICE FOR HANIFA ⚖️⚖️
No surprises there🙄We already knew they were going to crown their Temi Nkem as winner but my problem is, why rob Aikou of his 1st runner up moment? What is Sheba doing on the stage where 2 finalists should be standing?Since when do 3 people stand on that stage Nawa o ! #BBNaija

I have deliberately ignored the malicious narratives circulating about me and Ricky. It is frankly ridiculous that something so blatantly false has been repeated enough for anyone to expect an explanation.
Even the bangle being used as "proof" was lent to several other housemates. That's how desperate some people are to force a story where none exists.
There is a difference between harmless speculation and deliberately spreading falsehoods to damage someone's reputation.
I have exercised restraint, but that restraint has limits. Repetition will not turn fiction into an accepted account of my life.
My silence is not an admission, and my refusal to entertain nonsense is not an invitation to keep spreading it.
Going forward, defamatory claims will be handled through the appropriate channels.
Enough.
When I used to volunteer with friends of the national zoo, they taught us that lions typically attack prey that is looking away, distracted, or running. So holding eye contact shows the lion it has no element of surprise
Steady, calm eye contact with a confident posture discourages testing behavior
