KS1 enjoyed our assembly today - A virtual live author visit by Alex Willmore - author of 'I did see a mammoth' A big thank you to @CollinsPrimary and @FarshoreBooks and Alex himself. The children loved it and even made their own unique mammoths afterwards! @SpaldingPriAcad

Our book corner theme is currently "Curl up with a classic" but as soon as December "Winter Wonderland" gets here my new book post can be shared! Looking forward to sharing the new Woodcutter and the snow prince, as well as some classics. #readingforpleasure

Today Chestnut Class finished our class novel @vashti_hardy and there were moans that it had finished, followed quickly by 'Please bring in the Missing moon on Monday' Can we read book 2 in a week? 🤔 Mission accepted! #readingforpleasure

Highlight of day in Chestnut Class was learning that today's date 22 02 2022 is both a palindrome and an ambigram - so much fun had by all upside down 🤣 - a classroom full of giggles is a great place to be! The chat about the rarity of this occurrence too was a real wow factor
