While @dbrl buildings may be closed, here’s how we’re working to keep you and your family well-stocked with plenty of books, music, movies, and more:

📚 Library staff will increase our holdings of #eBooks and digital #audiobooks.

And that so many parents have actually come to school to pick up the work if they kept their kids from school!!

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

These last few days have been a whirlwind. I am truly surprised and astounded at all the work and staff that came together to make sure our kiddos were sent home with work and food. And if not, then it will be mailed to them! #CPSBEST #weareone

@SeekLSEArts @LSEArts @BurkemperLSE @MissJacksonLSE SO many happy faces with books!! 😍

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

Never thought I'd be that person. But in the midst of the #COVID2019 chaos, I ran to @dbrl before they close indefinitely to pick up some reading material for the self-quarantine. 😶 There were lines of people checking out stacks of books.

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

@GuptonFCS_LHS We are sending home extra buddy packs full of food and snacks.

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

Give them time, love, and attention. Now more than ever

[Heidy LaFleur @HeidyLaFleur]

Please don’t worry about kids “falling behind.” They are fine. Just love them. ❤️ #ThisIsWHY #COVID19 #MondayMorning #MondayMotivation

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

@dbrl Does this mean the actual library is closed as well?

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

@Maire_from_NJ I thought about this as I picked up another pack of toilet paper. What if the pets run out of food?!??

[Megan Dasczynski @MsD_LSEArts]

Taking initiative @cpslunch has started pre-packaging food from the salad bar such as salads, applesauce, and carrots. They are working on finding ways to have kids handle less utensils in the cafeteria. Thanks for keeping us healthy & safe! #CPSbest #bettersafethansorry

Diving deeper and connecting to real life experiences of #discrimination of all kinds while realizing the struggles that people have come from over time. Learning that America hasn't always been "great," and other countries may have (had) it worse. @LSEArts #CPSELbest

Showing off their understanding of a burrow and animals hibernating through their creation of tableaus and using their voices to explain their role. Some of these Ss wish we could hibernate until spring too! @MTummonsLSEArts @MrsSLSEArts #COCAedu #CPSELbest
