My favorite Seesaw tip is using voice recordings so every student can practice their reading fluency & get individual feedback. It creates a digital portfolio of their progress. Sign in & get started at https://t.co/qSvaUTOh3d

@blackrockesc Summer course in @carraigdulra Day 2. Tested soils, planned seeds, potted on seedlings, dehydrated strawberries and learned more about making natural fertilisers from comfrey and nettles. Great fun & very educational. #edchatie

I felt had to reply to this video asking why there is such a disconnect between parents and schools, some of my thoughts on the issue.

@Breegemw @simonmlewis Perhaps this is because teachers have worked so hard to paper over the cracks & spread ourselves so thinly to cover up for all that is lacking. How often have you felt like a psychologist, OT, SLT, counsellor or mediator in your classroom? All for our pupils. #edchatie #Education

Final day of @blackrockec summer course in @carraigdulra focused on natural building materials, the natural landscape and our connection to both. Lunch was so colourful and included many things we foraged, gathered or preserved earlier in the week. A wonderful restorative week.

Getting permanent after the first year is not the biggest issue in teaching @HMcEntee.
Trying to put down the remaining 34 years after that is the biggest issue in teaching.

Celebrity type leaders, who are arrogant & narcissistic, never introspect or question themselves. They firmly believe they are great and require constant reminders, of their imagined greatness, from their sycophantic allies. Oh dear! 🤦‍♀️

The Millenium Gateshead study in 2017 found that by age 7, children spend 50% of their time sitting down. By age 15 it is 75%.

How do you think this has changed over the last 8 years? 🤔 💭
