Our Remembrance Day assembly was held earlier this week, and this year every class had the opportunity to create their own class wreath. The wreaths were displayed during the assembly and I was blown away by how beautiful and creative they all were!

For the next 3 weeks students will have the opportunity to learn all about steel pan drumming. Not only learning how to play, but also learning about the history behind the steel pans!

Last week we looked at tempo!🎵 Through body percussion, students practiced how to keep a steady beat at different tempos. These videos look at the tempos of Largo, Allegro and Presto. Can you tell which is which?!

Today in Gr.8 we practiced how to carry a beat. The goal was to start at one end of the class and carry the beat to the other end. However, a challenge students noticed was as more kids joined in, their beat sped up! But, with much perseverance, the students successfully did it!
