A2: One of my lifesavers is a SmartBoard! It’s allows me to quickly find a wide variety of visuals for the entire class to see and use as tools on a worksheet. It also helps keep clutter from the classroom, with Online manipulatives, calendar, posters, etc.

A1: The main challenge is balancing the needs of the whole class w/the needs of the individual that need special attention. It involves time & energy, tact in not singling out the individual or losing the class. Best scenario is using the class to help the individual.

A1: I like to use GoNoodle to introduce different SEL skills! They’re familiar with it as a fun way to have a break, so throwing in some fun movement and introducing breathing techniques, as well as other coping skills is always helpful to get the conversation started!
