Weekly quick writes are used to build Ss writing fluency! It’s a bonus that they absolutely love it! Serves as a great way to progress monitor as well. Here, students are writing about the photo from After The Fall. Some told stories, others made observations!

Yesterday, my spooky Ss and I practiced retelling key events of a story while reading Room on the Broom aloud. Afterwards, we made a list of the characters, identified the setting and various problems/solutions when watching the video of the book 🎃🕸🔮🧹

Ss are identifying consonant digraphs sh and ch using a controlled text! Ss will work with this text several times and focus on different aspects such as changing voice to match dialogue and punctuation and scooping sentences to build fluency! 🐟🥔
