This #PrideMonth, let's celebrate diversity and unity and spread love and acceptance. Together, we can make the world a kinder place for all. β€οΈπ§‘ππππ
The Kindness Market continues to be one of my very favorite events at Longfellow School. Thanks to the 2nd and 3rd grade teams who organize it! #LongfellowBears#D97
Happy to work in a district that has recognized the benefits of academic intervention for years, even prior to the pandemic. #ProudInterventionist#D97 https://t.co/GHS058S6sN
K students know our routines. These two friends came in and immediately started grabbing magnetic numbers from our warm up bucket to put in the correct order on the board. Itβs a quick way to get in the math mindset for learning! #LongfellowBears#D97
The first graders did an awesome job as digraph detectives today when they found the digraph CH on their shirts! A real world connection always helps solidify learning. π΅οΈββοΈ #LongfellowBears#D97#evenpokemonhavedigraphs
Kindergarteners work together to put mixed up numeral cards 1-10 in the correct order. If they get stuck, they can use the ten frame to help visualize the number. #LongfellowBears#D97
Second graders are shifting from using base ten blocks to a one hundred chart to model two digit numbers. This is moving our understanding of place value from concrete to representational. From there we can compare, add, and subtract these numbers. #LongfellowBears#D97
Fourth graders show how they can make multiplicative comparisons using construction paper strips. They answered: How many times as long? How do you know? #LongfellowBears#D97
Kindergarten students had fun playing a math memory game today with numeral and dot cards. They practiced subitizing and number recognition. And had so much fun doing it! #longfellowbears#d97#cutestmathematicians
