trauma doesn't make people stronger. it damages their nervous system. it hijacks their digestive track. it keeps the person in a constant loop of hypervigilance. to tell someone they are stronger because of trauma is to deny what it has cost them to survive.
plutocracy - rule by the wealthy
kleptocracy - rule by corrupt thieves
kakistocracy - rule by the worst, least qualified
But what if it's all 3 -- what's the word for that?
Any Black person who performs at Trump’s inauguration dishonors:
• The Black families he refused to rent to in the 1970s,
• The Black kids he wanted to execute in the Central Park case in the 1980s,
• The Black casino workers he mistreated in the 1990s,
• The Black president he lied about in the 2000s,
• The Black NFL players he attacked as president,
• The Black election workers he targeted when he lost in 2020, and
• The Black Haitian immigrants he lied about in the 2024 election.

SEBA Atlanta All-Star Shootout
In a camp full of many talented prospects, ‘26 Duor Duor (6’8, Wing; South Atlanta High) might possibly have the highest ceiling of any player in attendance.
Super long with a 7’0 + wingspan, he has an intriguing skillset. He is good finisher in paint/on the block; can create his mid-range shot off the dribble and has a fluid three-point stroke.
Defensively, his length allows him to serve as rim protector, but he also moves his feet well & is able to guard well on the perimeter for his size.
His long term potential is tremendous and he will continue to develop under @PorterthePlug at @SAtlantaMBB .
Look for Duor to be a hot target for Colleges in the near future.

@TeachMrReed It took me a while to realize this, but things like lesson plans and learning targets aren’t for students, they’re for admin. So they can act like they know what you’re doing
I will never, for the life of me, understand why lesson/unit plans is the hill so many are willing to perish on. THAT’s where you draw the line? THAT’s what you’re willing to lose teachers over? A plan, that is more than likely going to change, mid-class?
A word Americans should know now more than ever:
Kakistocracy- a government run by the worst, least qualified, or most unscrupulous citizens.
Yes, there’s a word for it.
Happy Gullah Geechee Heritage Month and Hoodoo Heritage Month. Today is a good day to get into one of the many legacies the ancestors gifted to the Gullah Geechee—stories about the Flying Africans—folktales of spiritual comfort and resistance.

Sounds good in theory but -
Districts push out units built around excerpts. Teachers are expected to follow those pacing guides.
Also instructional time is lost to collecting data along the way for standardized test.
Testing in private vs public schools are very different.
