@lml_7777 @drjbraddock I forgot about this article! Thanks for the share. I was shocked when I first read this. I actually had a big discussion with my co-workers about it. It's scary to think of how vulnerable we are to being manipulated! #UFMassComm
@drjbraddock I really enjoyed the lecture and videos from Module 7! The models of self-disclosure were fascinating, and I like learning about what the experts think of our digital "social lives." #USMassComm#Q4
@LaurenMRowland I think social network theory is going to be a big deal for companies in trying to stay relevant and trending in the digital media landscape! I'd predict that future mass comm students will study it heavily. #UFMassComm
@drjbraddock Uses and Gratifications theory seems super relevant. We're so attached to our devices because they help us fulfill a ton of needs. I'm not so sure about direct effects theory. It seems too extreme to be true. #UFMassComm#Q2
@BlackJosephRyan @drjbraddock Good point, Ryan! The internet/ big data have given researchers an abundance of data to work with, and that applies to comms theory, too. I'm excited to see what new theories pop up in the future, once IOT has been around for a while. #UFMassComm
@drjbraddock Digital comms has made some theories less relevant/applicable. However, researchers have been able to take many of the theories and apply them to newer technologies/studies. #Q1#UFMassComm
