Making summary tables interactive, digital, and accessible - everywhere! The one you see is slightly differentiated. Each student has a copy on Google Classroom. The last slide allows for an explanation so that everything is in one place. #NGSS#edtech
@theDRAMAgoat1@sarahlouwou No, I am in Connecticut and even in my first year of teaching in 2018, I had to have a roommate. Then and now, rent for a studio or 1 bedroom for a single teacher was 1 whole paycheck.
This!๐ The magical feeling that always makes the end of a school year bittersweet. So many skills, expectations, and relationships fall into place. So much fun and laughter fuel the end of the year excitement. I'm so glad to be able to experience it again!
@blackandlit1 I am working at the @3M plant in CT this summer as part of the TWIST program, helping scientists and engineers in the lab to bring knowledge back to my classroom of how science and math courses are applied in real life! So excited!!
5 years ago I joined teacher Twitter with the hopes of connecting with science teachers to learn more about how they implement the #NGSS in their classrooms. I am so thankful for the PLN I have built here- I continue to learn so much & you inspire me! #MyTwitterAnniversary
Today we talked about high school options and I love to discuss what students are wondering about life. We got on the topic of figuring out my route in college and they said they were so happy I was their teacher and glad I chose to be a teacher. Iโm SO thankful to teach them! โค๏ธ
@XuejuW@UConnEngineer@UConnResearch Congratulations Dr. Wang! Learning of your projects and programs this past summer with the Joule Fellows program was so interesting and motivating!
Great conversations tonight! Thanks to all of the teacher leaders and @dmoralesdoyle for the awesome insight. My wheels are turning with ideas for the future ๐ญ
Weโve been having a blast modeling and improving our understanding of the states of matter and the phase changes using Expo markers and Play - Doh! The unique approach each student takes to modeling and showing their understanding always inspires me.
@safarnum@DrJones_GPS@GHSHeadmaster I love this!! Would you happen to know what brand of marker you use/where you got them? Also do they wipe off easily? Thanks in advance!
Every year when introducing the periodic table, students shriek & ask if they need to memorize it. My answer is always NO!! I want them to understand how to use the table as a tool to quickly grasp many properties about each element. We're playing Element Eye Spy tomorrow! #chem
