@WellsFargo Divest from Cop City to show your support for the vast majority of Atlanta residents who are against the destruction of their community's ecology. #StopCopCity
It’s striking to me how many women don’t seem to grasp that the attack on abortion rights isn’t just about abortion — it’s about policing, controlling, & punishing women, and it won’t stop at banning abortion. If you think you’re “safe”, you’re misunderstanding what’s happening.
There are over 120,000 children eligible for adoption in the United States right now and more than 400,000 in the foster care system.
So, when I see pics of these conservative married couples holding a sign that says “Don’t abort — we’ll adopt your baby”… I just don’t buy it.
Did you know? When SCOTUS said in 1937 that the Social Security Act was “unconstitutional”, President Roosevelt didn’t ask people to vote harder in the next election, he told the Supreme Court he’d add more justices until they backed off, which they did. — We can still do that.
It's here! It's our list! We read, we discussed (and possibly also cussed) and the final list is something to be proud of. So many great ones, but my three favorites: In the Wild Light, Cemetery Boys, and Girls I've Been. #MTCBA#ireadya

@jeffzentner Mr. Zentner, I cannot tell you how much I adored this book. My introduction to the story was as a reader on the MA Teen Choice Book Award committee and it was instant love for me!
Many of our students lack good access to school librarians or have no school libraries at all.
So we're calling on @MASchoolsK12 to collect yearly data on where to place, increase, and focus resources in our public-school libraries.
Ah, #MSLA conference! One of the few times a year I get to hang out with my fellow book nerds. Loving listening to Barb Fecteau and @alixinbeverly RN. #msla21
Working with 5th grade today, exploring @TheAmandaGorman’s phenomenal poem. I ask “what do you wonder?” One student: “I wonder if I can make this country what she described?” 😭❤️🤩
#MSLA joined @AASL and @ALALibrary in posting a letter to @JoeBiden and @teachcardona stressing how school librarians are an equity-oriented solution to some of the most pressing concerns facing educators today. https://t.co/bawawFdqVg
@JoyAnnReid Yes! We sang “O Come All Ye Faithful” at my Nanny’s funeral three days before Christmas seven years ago. It was one of her favorites. Now I can’t listen to it without missing her and the holidays we spent at her house.
MA friends, please use this link TODAY! All Racist Symbols must Fall. Change the State Flag & Seal, and Ban Native Sports Mascots! https://t.co/xHnqwsrJ2i
Fear is bad for public health & impedes #COVID19 contact-tracing. Let's pass the #SafeCommunitiesAct & send a strong message that immigrants are safe in Massachusetts! https://t.co/cq3RoII26s
BREAKING: Trump is proposing a rule allowing federally funded homeless shelters to turn away trans and gender non-conforming people — in the midst of the highest unemployment rates our country has seen in decades.
