This video is a call for help.
My mum is battling with stroke, and it is slowly taking her life. She needs urgent medical funds to stay alive, and I cannot do this alone anymore. Please, if you have it in your heart to help or retweet this to someone who can, I beg of you 🤲🏻🙏
I am tweeting this to complain on behalf of the @SteersSA and @fishaways staff. The Princess Crossing Branch at Ontdekkers Road, Roodepoort.
To management, Hi. Your branches are COLD! To say they are cold is an understatement. It's literally freezing and colder than the weather outside! We (customers) were told that apparently the AC isn't allowed to be switched off. It was so cold that we couldn't stand the coldness of the shop for that 15 minutes of us waiting for our orders, now imagine the staff members who have to endure that for an entire shift. How are they supposed to function or survive in such a cold environment, especially during this cold winter??
Please amend whatever rule you guys placed and allow staff members to turn the heater on. They, too, deserve dignity and comfort.
Thank you.
Mzansi… can you keep a secret? 🤫🎭

Dear Banks,
In this the age of escalating fraud, cybercrime and identity theft, it can no longer be acceptable for us customers to simply trust that the person on the other end of the line is genuinely calling from the bank.
Just as we clients are required to verify our identities before discussing our accounts, bank employees should be subjected to a similar verification process. The burden of trust cannot rest solely on the customer.
There ought to be a secure authentication system that allows customers to verify that a caller is indeed an authorised representative of the bank before any conversation about personal or financial matters takes place. Whether this takes the form of a unique verification code, an in-app confirmation, a secure push notification, or another authentication mechanism.
Banks have invested heavily in protecting themselves from fraud. It is time they invest with equal urgency in protecting customers from fraudulent individuals impersonating bank employees.
The current model, where a stranger phones you and immediately begins asking security questions, is outdated and unsafe.
“A senior engineer technician at the troubled Emfuleni Local Municipality allegedly collected more than R2.5m in salary and benefits, including a R15 000 car allowance, without showing up for work for nearly four years, reports News24. The municipality, it appeared, had no idea. Azwindini Munwai, originally working in the municipality’s parks and cemeteries department, allegedly stopped reporting for duty in October 2020 and resigned three years later in July 2023. The municipality allegedly kept paying him until September 2024, more than a year after he had already walked out the door.”
This story gets so much worse. Apparently this all started because police were called out for a disturbance after her husband broke their tv out of anger after finding out his brother was killed by Israel in Gaza. The husband is Palestinian. When the police were taking him into custody his wife stopped them because she wanted to accompany him and that is when the officer threw her on the ground for “interference.” The couple was cooperative with the police the entire time and yet this is how they were treated.
She delivered the baby prematurely because of the physical trauma on her body but thankfully both she and the baby survived and are in good health. She easily could have miscarried.
This entire police department should be investigated and that officer should be arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Hey @Uber_RSA I don’t require an investigation, so don’t ask me to DM my details.
The next time an Uber Eats driver sexually harasses my daughter, I’m going to put that predator in his place, kapiche?
Don’t you dare respond with your boilerplate message.
I love her. ❤️ I'm glad she survived, and we thank God for that. I'm amazed how she continued chewing her gum. It's traumatic and triggering seeing this, 😭 but I'm also smiling at her survival instincts. I hope these guys are found because she managed, in her calmness, to also keep the evidence. 🙏🏽
I can relate and I can vouch that it is her calmness that saved her. If you ever find yourself in a situation like this, God forbid, please remember to STAY CALM, difficult as it may be. My daughter and I, our lives were spared by letting criminals with guns, to take everything they wanted to take in the house, by sitting there quietly. When they were done and called me to give them money, I just said I don't carry cash, I just have R300 in my purse, I opened the purse and gave it to them. I don't even mention the poice because they did nothing.
I was once hijacked at gun point by 3 guys in Soweto years ago. They got inside the car, the one on my side, pointing a gun at me, asked me to start the car, I started it, and asked him if I can get out, he said yes, I stepped out of the car, in stockings without shoes because I used to drive without shoes, 😩 and they drove away. Today I live to tell these stories and count myself lucky of course, because in both situations, I remained calm. Sometimes these thugs still murder people even when they've given them what they want. Hence we always say we are grateful for everyday we are alive. May the young lady find healing, peace and justice. No one deserves this nonsense. 😢
@BALUCIAGA When u are placing an order on any platform at what stage does the driver see the order? 🤔 Doesn't the driver only see orders ready & packed for delivery. A driver has no authority to cancel an order🤔
