Here are six things Dolly Parton did to make the world better:
- Gave $500 to every student who graduated high school in her hometown
- Donated 250 million free books to children worldwide
- Donated $1M for covid research
- Offered fully-paid tuition for all Dollywood employees
- Gave $1K/month to families displaced by Tennessee wildfires
- Established a sanctuary for injured Bald Eagles
What a treasure.
I am in tears over the beautiful tribute video! 😭 Thank you so much for putting this together. To everyone who shared posts, photos, and wore curls in her honor: your love has brought us so much comfort during this painful time. Thank you for loving our sweet girl Nessa. 🐾❤️
One year ago, Chance moved in with myself and Hank. She'd had a tough life on the streets and had been stabbed twice in the stomach.
Nobody deserves this safe home more than her, and although she might seem lucky, it's myself and Hank who count ourselves to be the luckiest.
Literally crying in the Target parking lot right now. 🧵
I was struggling with unloading my toddler, my bags and wrangling an unruly cart (seriously — why do some lack power-steering?) A fire truck from Redondo Beach (E61) had just parked nearby and four firefighters got out.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you're in the path of #HurricanMilton , do NOT TIE YOUR DOGS OR CATS UP OR LEAVE THEM IN A CRATE. THEY WILL DIE. THEY ARE FAMILY, KEEP THEM SAFE

It seems main Reason Asheville has not water is because the main water line that brings 2/3 of the water from the Laurel Ridge, Black Mountain reservoir is badly broken in different parts. On top of that the pumping stations are damage or without electricity. That why @wckitchen we are bringing 5 water trucks for distribution…contributing to efforts to have everyone with access to water..#ChefsForNorthCarolina
